Louise O. Forbush

Louise O. (Brillhart) Forbush, 96, of Jacobus, died May 5, 2018 at Manor Care South. She was the wife of the late Gordon H. Forbush Sr. Funeral services will be held 11 AM on Thursday May 10th at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main Street, Glen Rock, with her pastor the Rev. Tina Minnich, officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Union Cemetery, Jacobus. Viewings will be held 6 to 8 PM Wednesday and from 10 to 11 AM Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Forbush was born on April 22, 1922 in Jackson Township and was a daughter of Gartha S. Mummert and was raised by Silas and Emma (Strausbaugh) Mummert. She was employed as a machine operator with AMP, Inc./Tyco at several local plants and had be a local AVON representative for many years. Louise was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Jacobus and had volunteered at York Hospital. She was a former member of Zion (Shaffer’s) Lutheran Church, Seven Valleys. She leaves, six children, Gordon H. Forbush (Alverta) of Red Lion, Norman K. Forbush of Henderson, NV, Steven A Forbush (Connie) of York New Salem, Anita L. Sheaffer (Dennis) of Dover, Todd Q Forbush of Jacobus, and Beth A. Stambaugh (Scott) of York; 8 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren; daughter in law, Linda Forbush of Lee’s Summit MO.
