Lois J. (Harvey) Stoner, 83, of York, died Tuesday, January 1, 2019. She was the wife of the late C. David Boose, Harry L. Deardorff of Craley and the late Bobby L. Stoner. Memorial service will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Glenview Alliance Church, 10037 Susquehanna Trail South, Glen Rock. A visitation for family and friends will be 9:30 to 10:30 AM Saturday at the Church. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Mrs. Stoner was born on August 23, 1935 in Shrewsbury Township and was a daughter of the late James R. and M. Jeannette (Shank) Harvey. Lois was a Registered Nurse at York Hospital and Memorial Hospital and had also worked for several Visiting Nurse Associations and Hospice Organizations. She was a member of the Glenview Alliance Church, Triangle Chapter #483 Order of the Eastern Star, Shrewsbury, Hametown Farm Women Group #18, Daughters of the American Revolution, and was a former Organist at Glenview Alliance Church. She loved music and sang in choirs at numerous churches all her life. She also was a pianist at St. Paul “Hametown” Lutheran Church for the Sunday School at the age 13. Lois leaves two sons Robert E. Deardorff and Dean J. Deardorff both of York; two brothers, James “Jay” R. Harvey of Seven Valleys and Pedro E. Febres of York; a daughter-in-law Donna Boose of York, three grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Joseph D. Boose. Condolences may be shared at geiple.com
