Lois E. Sechrist York Lois E. (McCullough) Sechrist, 81, of Glen Rock, was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday July 2, 2014. She was the wife of Elwood W. Sechrist for 29 years. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Glenview Alliance Church, 10037 Susquehanna Trail South, Glen Rock, with her pastor the Rev. Tim Allen, officiating. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Wednesday at the Church. The Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Sechrist was born on February 17, 1933 in Shrewsbury Township, a daughter of the late Lloyd F. and Dorothy E. (Sehner) McCullough. She had been employed as a data processor for various companies, including DuPont, Wilmington, DE and Glatfelter Paper Company, Spring Grove. She retired in 1985 after 35 years. She also helped her husband for over 20 years with Sechrist Distributing Co. She was a member of Glenview Alliance Church, Triangle Chapter #483 Order of the Eastern Star, Shrewsbury, the VFW Post 7012 Auxiliary, New Freedom. She loved to play the piano, dancing, camping, and boating. She also leaves her children, Donna Mae Legg of Dover, Frances Peterson and her husband Jeffery of Dover, Donald Legg Jr. of Wilmington, DE; grandchildren, David Vitatoe and his wife Jessica of Dover, Jennifer Bartram and her husband Scott of Dover, Nicki Luther and her husband Eric, Amy Moore and husband Jeremy, Emily Campbell and husband Chris and Chelsea Pruitt and husband Darren all of Anderson SC; seven great grandchildren, a brother Robert McCullough and his wife Mary of York; a sister, Jane Dodson and her husband Lonnie of Laguna Woods, CA; and Elwood’s daughter, Iris W. Graybill and her husband John and her family of Spring Grove. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Glenview Alliance Church, (Marked for Great Commission Fund), 10037 Susquehanna Trail South, Glen Rock, PA 17327.
