Linda S. Hoff

Linda S. (Meckley) Hoff, 63, of Hanover, Pa, died Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at her home following a long illness. She was the wife of Joald D. Hoff, with whom she celebrated 39th wedding anniversary on October 11, 2019. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, January 13, 2020 at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main street, Glen Rock, PA with Rev. Dr. Bruce P. Bouchard, officiating. A viewing will be held from 12 Noon to 1:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Jacob’s Stone Church Cemetery, Glenville. Linda was born in Hanover on September 22, 1956 and was a daughter of the Donald H. and Betty J. (Booser) Meckley. She was a 1974 graduate of Susquehannock High School and had been employed as a personal lines manager with Weber Insurance Company, Hanover for over 34 years. She was a member of St. Jacob's (Stone) United Church of Christ, Glenville and had several interests over the years, including painting ceramics, being a band parent and artificial flower arranging. She also enjoyed traveling and going on cruises. Linda loved being a wife and mother and working around the house both inside and out. Her diagnose with Multiple Sclerosis had her wheelchair bound and very limited in what she could do for the past seven years, but she kept herself content playing on her iPad, watching her stories and game shows on TV. Even with what she was dealt in life, she was very upbeat and made the best of her situation. Besides her husband, she is survived by two children, Brittany L. Falchini and her husband Michael of Altoona and Matthew T. Hoff and his wife Janelle of Hanover; a brother, Donald H. Meckley, Jr, and his wife Betty of Red Lion. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jacob's (Stone) UCC Church, 5152 Stone Church Road, Glenville 17329.
