Lester Henry Hain

On Monday, October 23, 2023, Lester H. Hain, 96, of Glen Rock, passed away peacefully with his family by his side. He was the loving husband to Janet (Rehmeyer) Hain for 67 years. Lester was born on March 20, 1927 in New Freedom, to the late Ralph H. and Cora (Rehmeyer) Hain. He was proud to be a lifelong farmer in the Potosi area. He was a US Army Veteran and was a member of the Glen Rock American Legion, and former member of St. Paul Lutheran Church - Hametown. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting, and going to the cabin in Potter County with the family.

He is survived by his wife Janet; one daughter, Sharon Eveler and husband Todd; two sisters, Frances Wagner and Arlene Keller; two grandchildren, Derek Myers and husband, Billy, and Ashley Garver; three great-grandchildren, Tristan Myers, Luke and Alexis Garver; and extended family, Sue Thomas and husband Harold, and their son Alan, and grandchildren Porter and Eve Thomas.

Public viewing will be held on Friday, October 27 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Geiple-Predicce Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, and again on Saturday, October 28 from 10:00am until a funeral service begins at 11:00am at Mt. Zion Potosi Christian Church, 10730 Mt. Zion Road, Glen Rock. Interment will follow in St. Paul Hametown Lutheran Church Cemetery. Rev. Larry Parlett will officiate. Per Lester's request, please dress casual. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Mt. Zion Potosi Christian Church, 10730 Mt.
