Leo C. Hartlaub, 89, of Glenville, died Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at the Dove House, Westminster MD, with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Esther A. (Thoman) Hartlaub, with whom he celebrated 67 years of marriage last Nov. 27th. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM. Sunday, October 16, 2016 at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main Street, Glen Rock, with Pastor Mike Osladil officiating. A viewing will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 PM Sunday at the funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenmount UM Church Cemetery, Glen Rock with military rites by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Mr. Hartlaub was born on April 20, 1927, in Adams County and was a son of the late Paul E. and Lucy M. (Storm) Hartlaub. He was a US Army Veteran of World War II and was a self-employed antique dealer for most of his life. He also had worked at several local kitchen cabinet companies and attended Calvary Bible Church, in Hanover. Besides his wife, he also leaves five daughters, Carolyn L. Gross and her husband Marley of Spring Grove, Connie A. Dubbs and her husband Jeff of Glen Rock, Janice M. Bortner and her husband Tim of Hanover, Bonnie K. Shaffer and her husband Marvin of Spring Grove, Maria D. Isennock and her husband Wayne of Felton; a son, L. Tim Hartlaub and his fiancé Kim of Manchester MD.; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren; three brothers, Edward Hartlaub, Eugene Hartlaub and Richard Hartlaub all of Littlestown. He was preceded in death by 13 siblings. Memorial contributions be made to Pleasant View Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, 4101 Old National Pike, Mt Airy MD 21771.
