Laura A. Reed

Laura Alice Reed, 87 of Seven Valleys, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, April 18, 2023.

She was one of 8 children. She was born in Staffordsville, Kentucky on April 9, 1936 to her late parents Rollie and Murzie Meade. She was previously married to the late Bobby J. Reed (deceased April 3, 2022). Laura is survived by her sisters, Christine Estepp, Phyllis Wells, Ruth Evans and her brother Chuck Meade. In addition to her parents, Laura was predeceased by two brothers, Clayton and James Meade, her sister Nola McKenzie and her great-granddaughter Corrine A. Stahle.

Laura is survived by her children: Alice Grove, husband Greg; Ron Reed, wife Debbie; Danny Reed, Wendy Williams; Bobby Reed, wife Lucy; Arnold Reed, wife Carolyn and Linda Reed - Daughter in Law. She is also survived by her 10 Grandchildren: Ronnie Reed, wife Krystal; Melissa Stahle, husband Joe; Danielle Kuhn, husband Rob; Amanda Brant, husband Gavin; Nicholas Reed, wife Samantha; Nathan Reed, wife Julia; Jonathan Reed, James Reed, Bobby Reed, Jr. and Josh Reed. In addition, Laura has 10 Great-Grandchildren, Skylar Reed, Dean and April Stahle, Aliyah and Adelaine Kuhn, Margot and Maren Brant, Forest Reed and Cooper Reed.

Laura's career consisted of working at the Seven Valleys Sewing Factory and was retiree of AMP, Inc. She was an Inspector and enjoyed working with all the Employees.

Laura enjoyed traveling and camping with her children and friends. She loved to go "back home" to Kentucky to visit her family. She looked forward to the family reunions in Paintsville, Kentucky. She loved visiting with all her family including her cousins, nieces and nephews.

Laura was a devoted and dedicated Mother, Grandma, Sister and Friend. She loved with all her heart and soul. Laura loved the Lord and was a devoted and baptized Christian.

Her family will truly miss her.

Public viewing will be held on Sunday, April 23 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm and again on Monday, April 24 from 10:00am until a funeral service begins at 11:00am at Geiple-Predicce Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock. Interment will follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York. Pastor Chris Lofquist will officiate. Online condolences may be made under "Share a Memory" on this page.
