Larry L. Keener

On Sunday, April 4, 2021, Larry L. Keener, 76, of Glen Rock, passed away peacefully with his family by his side. He was the husband of Joyce E. (Warner) Keener for 51 years. Larry was born on July 26, 1944 in Winterstown, PA to the late Charles A. and Hazel (Rineholt) Keener. He worked for LWB Refractories in York for over 29 years until he retired in 2003. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, mowing the grass and spending time with his family. Larry is survived by his wife, Joyce; children, Tammy Waltemire, and Michael Keener; grandchildren, Andrew M. Keener, Daniel Waltemire, Samantha Mata, Zachary Mata, and Trent Taylor; great-grandchildren, Dwain Phillips, Jr., Christopher Phillips, Kellymarie Phillips, Grady Waltemire, Georgia Waltemire, and Alice Taylor; Siblings, Stanley "Leroy" Keener, Jerry A. Keener, Rex A. Keener, Diane McClain, Tina Waltemire, and Sharon Hollingshead. Larry is preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Kelly Mata; and one sister, Judy Keener.
