Larry “Butch” L. Bailey Glen Rock Larry L. “Butch” Bailey, 78, of Glen Rock, died Sunday April 2, 2017, surrounded by his family at Dallastown Nursing Center, following a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Jean M. (Zech) Bailey. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, April 7, 2017 at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 AM Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with military rites by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Mr. Bailey was born on December 9, 1938 in Glen Rock, the son of the late Francis C. “Frank” and Ruth V. (Bailey) Rill. He graduated from Susquehannock High School in 1956 and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was employed as a welder for over 37 years with Precision Components in York, retiring in 1997. Larry enjoyed hunting and spending time at the family cabin in Clinton County. He is survived by a daughter, Linda S. Bailey of West York; two sons, Barry E. Bailey and his wife Tammy of York, and Roger K. Bailey and his wife Diana of Dallastown; eight grandchildren, Leanne, Michael, Jared, Tara, Ashlyn, Dayne, Briana and Brayden, and a brother, Randall Rill and his wife Doris of New Freedom. He was predeceased by a son, Larry L. Bailey Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Grane Hospice, 3501 Concord Road, Suite 110, York, Pa. 17402.
