Lamar M. Seitz

On Sunday, May 21, 2023, Lamar M. Seitz, 88, of York passed away at Pleasant Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation in York. He was the husband of Beverly A. (Spies) Seitz for 38 years. He was born on January 7, 1935 in Jefferson, PA to the late Mervin E. and Fairy G. (Landis) Seitz. Lamar served in the US Navy from 1954 to 1958 during peacetime, then became a machine operator at BICC Cables for over 27 years, retiring in 1997. After his retirement, he drove school bus for Duran Bus Co. in the Dallastown School District.

He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in York; the Vikings Club; Hawks Club; 13 Ward Club; Prince AA all of York; Hellam VFW and Dallastown American Legion.

Lamar is survived by his wife, Beverly; four sons, Rodney Seitz and wife Phyllis, Michael Seitz and wife Linda, Todd Mundis and wife Jill, and Troy Mundis; one daughter, Tammy Mundis; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Burnell Seitz and wife Bonnie, and Richard Seitz and wife Connie.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 25 at 1 pm at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, 250 Chestnut Hill Road, York.
