Kenneth W. Cooper

On Friday, August 16, 2024, Kenneth W. Cooper, 83, of Shrewsbury, passed away at UPMC Memorial Hospital in York. He was the devoted husband of the late Janet Lee (Randolph) Cooper until her passing in 2019. Ken was born on June 20, 1941 in Bridgeton, NJ to the late John M. and Elsie M. (Zane) Cooper.

Ken was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church in Georgetown, Delaware. In his younger years, he enjoyed his large train set, which he added to each year; taking care of his cars, which were always washed and shined; fishing, woodworking and biking; he also dearly loved his family and the Lord.

He is survived by three step-children, Mary Patricia Janson and husband Walt, Charles L. Chenowith and wife Yvonna, and Kathleen K. Waltemire; four siblings, Larry C. Cooper, Janet H. Pisarek and husband John, Ruth Debra Ruboch and Betty J. Doggart and husband Mark. He is preceded in death by his wife; parents and a sister-in-law, Barbara Cooper.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 18 at 11:00 am at Joseph Giesey Cemetery in Shrewsbury. Online condolences may be made at www.geiple.com.
