Kenneth H. Schriver York Kenneth H. “Ken” Schriver, 69 of York, entered into God’s eternal care on Sunday September 4, 2016 at York Hospital. He was the husband of the late Diane L. (Knaub) Schriver. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Emanuel Lutheran Church of Freysville, 2650 Freysville Road, Red Lion with the Rev. Paul Frank officiating. Burial will be in Freysville Cemetery with full military rites by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. A viewing will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 AM Thursday at the church. Ken was born on September 30, 1946 in Hanover, a son of the late Jacob M. and Mary E. (Trimmer) Schriver. Mr. Schriver was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served during the Vietnam War. He graduated from New Oxford High School and retired from Weis Markets in 2016 after 52 years of employment. Ken was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church where he had served as past president of the church council. He was past president and secretary of the Frysville Cemetery Association, a member of Shiloh American Legion Post #791, the Victory Athletic Association, the Craley Fish and Game Association, Hawks Gunning Club, and was an endowment member of the National Rifle Association. Ken enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He leaves a daughter, Kathy J. Martin and her husband Robert of Duncannon, PA and a grandson Daniel J. Martin. He was preceded in death by a brother David M. Schriver.
