Katrienna Ann Hengst

Katrienna Ann (Shaeffer) Hengst, 59, of York, passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021 at WellSpan York Hospital. She was the wife of Robert E. Hengst Sr. with whom she celebrated 43 years of marriage on December 17th. She was born on December 22, 1961 in York and was a daughter of Robert Lee Shaeffer Sr. and the late Patricia Ann Routson. Katrienna worked many jobs however, was a homemaker and childcare provider most of her life. She especially enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren and being outdoors. In addition to her husband Robert, Katrienna is survived by two daughters, April Borecki and her husband Ricardo of Yorktown, VA and Amber Hengst of York; a son, Robert Hengst Jr also of York; eleven grandchildren; her sisters, Amy St. Agathe of Melbourne, FL and Andrea White of York; brothers, Robert Shaeffer Jr of Reading, and Rodney Shaeffer of Glen Rock. Katrienna was proceded in death by her grandson, Kade Riley Metz. A public viewing will be held Monday November 22, 2021, at 10:00 AM until a funeral service begins at 11:00 AM at St. Peter's Church, 1708 Seitzville Rd, Seven Valleys, PA. Pastor Thomas Beck and Pastor Rich Dubbs will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York. Online condolences are available at www.geiple.com.
