Kathryn A. Albright

Kathryn A. (Deveney) Albright, 91, died Sunday March 11, 2018 at Misericordia Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, York. She was the wife of the late Albert P. Albright. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday March 15, 2018 at St. Paul (Hametown) Lutheran Church, 11894 Susquehanna Trial South, Glen Rock, with her pastor the Rev. Katie Brantner, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Viewings will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. Mrs. Albright was born on May 3, 1926 in Shrewsbury Township, a daughter of the late Howard E. and Maggie (Henry) Deveney. She was a homemaker and assisted her husband with the family farm in the Hametown area of Shrewsbury Township for many years. She was a 77-year member and the oldest member of St. Paul Hametown Lutheran Church where she served on the Altar Guild, helped with the church picnic and was a member of the Crafty Ladies and the Quilting Group of the Church. She also at one time assisted with the annual Shrewsbury Flower Shows for many years. She is survived by a son, David L. Albright (Marcia) of Glen Rock; three grandchildren, Stephanie M. Dorer (Michael), Mindy S. Smith (Andrew) and Mark E. Albright (Connie Braesh); four great grandchildren, George, Kathryn and Joseph Smith and Chase Albright. She was predeceased by a daughter, Connie Albright, a sister Mary Adams and two brothers, Kenneth and Marvin Deveney. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Paul (Hametown) Lutheran Church, 11894 Susquehanna Trail South, Glen Rock, PA 17327. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff at Misericordia for the great loving care that was shown to Kathryn and her family over the past years.
