Jo Ann Marie Kreeger

On Monday, November 6, 2023, Jo Ann Marie (Plymire) Kreeger, 80, of Seven Valleys, passed away at Rest Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation in York. For 58 years, she was the loving wife of the late Dean E. Kreeger, who passed away in March of this year. Jo Ann was born on August 15, 1943, in West Manchester Township, to the late Tymon and Martha (Wilt) Plymire. She graduated from West York High School, then attended Thiel College for two years before transferring to Lebanon Valley College, where she received her Bachelors Degree. Jo Ann taught Spanish at Dallastown High School, then taught English as a second language at Lincoln Intermediate before teaching Spanish for Southern York School District, where she retired in 2002. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, playing Scrabble and hiking.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen Kreeger; and one grandson, Andrew Kreeger. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and three siblings, James Plymire, Norma Jean Newhouse, and Joyce Plymire.

Public viewing will be held on Monday, November 13, from 10:00am until a funeral service begins at 11:00am at Geiple-Predicce Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock. Interment will follow in Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Seven Valleys. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory are recommended to Animal Rescue, 2 Heritage Farm Dr., New Freedom, PA 17349.
