Jennifer June Meckley

Jennifer J. (Redmond) Meckley, 68, of Dover Township, passed away Saturday January 8, 2022 at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital, York. She was the wife of Ellis A. Meckley, with whom she celebrated 52 years of marriage on October 10th 2021. Jennifer was born on February 23, 1953, in York to the late John E. and Marian E. (Burns) Redmond. She worked as a medical technician for Foxridge Manor (Providence Place), Weigelstown for over 10 years. Her greatest joy was spending time on the family farm, she enjoyed cooking for her husband and the grandchildren, and loved trips to the beach. In addition to her husband Ellis, she is survived by her daughters, Tracy E. Meckley of West York, Melissa A. Meckley and her companion Thomas Dammeyer of York, and Jessica L. Harmon of East Berlin; five grandchildren, Baylee A. Meckley, Emma L. Meckley, Madison E. Harmon, Hailey Harmon, and Chase Harmon; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Jennifer was preceded in death by her sister Susan Glatfelter. A public visitation will be held on Saturday, January 22 from 10:00am until a Celebration of Life Service begins at 11:00am at Geiple-Predicce Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock, PA. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. It is requested that anyone entering the funeral home for the service wear a face mask regardless of your vaccination status.
