Jean G. Bowers

Jean G. Bowers York, PA Jean G. (Seiple) Bowers, 88 of Country Meadows at Leaders Heights, York, PA who was formerly of York New Salem, PA and Sunbury, died Monday January 30, 2017 at the home. She was the wife of the late Donald J. Bowers, “Her Knight In Shining Armor”. Following cremation all services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock, PA is assisting the family. Mrs. Bowers entered this life on March 30, 1928 in Sunbury and was a daughter of the late Stan and Rachel (Derr) Seiple. Jean graduated from Geisinger School of Nursing in 1949 and lived in various places including Northumberland, Pa where her family owned and operated the former Chadwick’s Restaurant for over 17 years. Jean is survived by her sons, Gregory S. Bowers and his wife Traci, Jeffrey S. Bowers, both who are deeply saddened; a brother Stan Seiple and wife Anne; and nieces and nephews.
