Jean A. Williams-Scheirer

Jean A. Williams-Scheirer York Jean A. (Smith) Williams-Scheirer, 89 of York, died Wednesday May 20, 2015 at her home. She was the wife of the late Dr. Carl L. Scheirer and her former husband the late Morton G. Williams. Private funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. The Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main street, Glen Rock is assisting the family. Jean was born on July 20, 1925 in York and was a daughter of the late V. Chester and Helen E. (Allen) Smith. She graduated from William Penn Senior High School in the class of 1944 and had worked as a Chemistry Lab Assistant at York College for several years. She is survived by three sons, Mark S. Williams and Jon A. Williams both of York and David R. Williams of Center Moriches, NY; four grandchildren and a sister, Abbie Jane Brice of Ephrata, PA. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to SPCA of York County, 3159 Susquehanna Trail North, York, PA 17406. Condolences may be shared at geiple.com.
