Janet L. McFadden Dover Janet L. (Bortner) McFadden, 88, of Providence Place, who was formerly of Manchester and Dover, died Tuesday July 26, 2016 at the home. She was the wife of the late Scottie H. McFadden Sr. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, July 28, 2016 at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main street, Glen Rock with her pastor the Rev. Edwina Landry, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Jacob’s Stone Church Cemetery, Glenville. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. McFadden was born on November 23, 1927 in Codorus Township and was a daughter of the late Levi E. and Effie (Kessler) Bortner. She had been employed as a Silk Weaver at the former Blue Bird Silk Mill in York for many years. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Manchester and the Amalgamated Clothing and Textile Workers Union Local #446. Janet leaves a son, Scott H. McFadden Jr. and wife Verda of Thomasville, a grandson, Scott H. McFadden III and wife Jill of Springfield VA, two grandchildren, Leo and Ivy McFadden, a sister Jean Klinefelter of Landisville, Pa and many nieces and nephews.
