Jan Alan Frey

Jan Alan Frey, 73, of York, PA., passed away at Genesis, York South Nursing and Rehab on Wednesday, June 21, 2023. He was born September 24, 1949, in Dallastown. He was married to Nancy Kaye (Friesland) Frey for 44 years. He was the son of the late Hannigan and Mildred (Leader) Frey.

Jan was a 1967 graduate of Dallastown Area High School. He retired in 2012, as a Technical Specialist from Johnson Controls. He was a member of St. Jacob’s (Stone) U.C.C., Glenville. He served in the United States Navy, was a member of American Legion Post #605 Dallastown; York Izaak Walton League and the National Rifle Association.

Jan is survived by a sister, Janell Montgomery, Brogue; brother, Joel (Stephanie) Frey, Dallastown; nephew, Matthew (Larena) Montgomery, Dover; niece, Randi (Matthew) John, York. He was preceded in death by a nephew, Eric Frey.

A Memorial Service will be held at St. Jacob’s (Stone) U. C. C., at 5152 Stone Church Rd. Glenville, Pa. 17329 on Saturday, July 1, 2023; with visitation at 10:00 A. M. followed by a service at 11:00 A. M. with Rev. Dr. Bruce Bouchard officiating. Interment will be private at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
