James H. Wilson

Due to the impending snow storm on Tuesday January 21, 2014, the services for James H. Wilson have been postponed. Viewings will now be held on Thursday January 23, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and on Friday January 24, 2014 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM with the funeral service being held at 2:00 PM at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock. James H. Wilson Glen Rock James H. Wilson, 83, of Glen Rock, died Saturday January 18, 2014 at the home of his caregivers and nephew, Linda and Eugene “Jake” Fair Jr., following a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Gem Delores (McCann) Wilson. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, January 24, 2014 at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main Street, Glen Rock with Rev. Douglas DeStephano, pastor of Christ Lutheran Church, Loganville, officiating. Burial will be in New Hope “Fissels” Church Cemetery. Viewings will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday and from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Friday at the Funeral Home. Mr. Wilson was born on April 10, 1930 in Shrewsbury Township, a son of the late Charles B. and Mae (Grove) Wilson. He retired from the former AMF Union Machinery Division, Glen Rock where he was employed as an Assembler and prior to that had worked at the New York Wire Cloth Co. in York. He had also farmed in the Shrewsbury Township area for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his especially his grandchildren. Jim leaves three daughters, Linda A. Lawyer of York, Lucinda A. Donough and her husband Steve of Port Royal, PA and Donna J. Gentzler of Manchester; Two sons, Terry J. Wilson and his wife Valerie of Red Lion and James B. Wilson and his wife Louann of Glen Rock; thirteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three sisters, Evelyn A. Glatfelter and Betty L. Rudy both of Seven Valleys, Phyllis M. Mason of York; and a brother, William C. Wilson of Glen Rock. He was predeceased by two sisters, Hazel V. Kopp, Sarah Glatfelter and by a brother Albert Einsing.
