James B. Fridy

James B. Fridy, 71, of Red Lion, died Saturday April 7, 2018 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Robin J. (Innerst) Fridy, with whom he celebrated a 38th Wedding Anniversary on May 19, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, April 13, 2018 at Salem Lutheran Church, 99 York Road, Jacobus, with his pastor the Rev. Tina Minnich officiating. The family would like everyone to dress casual. Burial will follow in Salem Union Cemetery, Jacobus. Viewings will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday and from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Friday at the church. James was born on September 5, 1946 in Columbia and was a son of the late Dorothy S. (Gladfelter) and Robert L. Fridy Sr. He was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and retired in 2008 from Topflight Corporation, Glen Rock, where he was employed as a printer for over 25 years. He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, the Windsor Gun Club and the Mountville VFW Post 8757. He enjoyed being with his family and loved woodworking and being outdoors hunting and bird watching. In addition to his wife, he leaves two daughters, Christine L. Klinedinst (Steve) of Mt. Joy, Pa and Sharon L. West (Bruce) of Manheim PA; eight grandchildren, Ashley and Amber Hershey, Derek and Cheyenne Klinedinst, Justin, Dalton, Kyler and Jenna West; a sister, Bette Tye, two brothers Robert Jr. and Thomas Fridy; nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and his step mother-in-law Norma Innerst and sister in law and brother in law. He was predeceased by a sister Kathy White.
