Jackie Dean Dotson

On November 10, 2021, Jackie (Jack) D. Dotson, Sr., 80, passed away at WellSpan York Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was the loving husband to Martha C. (Booth) Dotson for 62 years. Jack was born in Russell County, VA to the late Orville and Sophia (Maxfield) Dotson. After a long career Jack finished his working years at Kaydon Ring and Seal (Koppers Co.). Since retiring, he enjoyed being on the farm, the horses, gardening, birdwatching; and being a collector of guns, watches, pewter figurines, and knives. Jack is survived by his wife, Martha; daughter Tina Hendley and her husband, Gerry; 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and one daughter-in-law, Beverly Dotson. He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Jackie D. Dotson, Jr.; and two siblings, Jerry Dotson, and Penny Pereyra. Public Viewing will be held Sunday, November 14, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM until a funeral service begins at 8:00 PM at Geiple-Predicce Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock. Another Public Viewing will be held on Monday, November 15, from 10:00 AM until approximately 11:00 AM. **It is requested by the family that everyone entering the funeral home wear face coverings** Interment will follow at approximately 12:15 PM in Glen Haven Memorial Park, Ritchie Hwy.
