Iva J. Hengst York Iva J. (Harbaugh) Hengst, 63, of York, died Thursday January 30, 2014 at Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the Charles “Chick” Hengst, III, with whom she shared 21 years of marriage. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, February 3, 2014 at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York. Viewings will be held on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the funeral home and Monday morning from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home. The family has requested that you dress casual. Iva was born on September 27, 1950 in Bedford, a daughter of the late Lewis I. and Kathleen “Kay” (Zimmerman) Harbaugh. She worked for the York County Judicial System as a clerk for 20 years at the District Magistrate Office. She graduated from Chestnut Ridge High School, Bedford, in 1968 and went on to attend Thompson Business School of York. Iva had also volunteered at Manor Care, Dallastown for several years. Besides her husband, she leaves a sister, Sara Hamilton of Bedford, Pa, and two brothers, David L. Harbaugh of Bedford, Pa and Guy B. Harbaugh of Glen Rock and many other relatives and friends.
