Henry H. Whitcomb, Jr.

On Monday, June 28, 2021, Henry H. Whitcomb, Jr., 91, passed away at his home in Glen Rock. He was the loving husband of the late Ruby V. (Mosley) Whitcomb. Henry was born on June 4, 1930 in Owings Mills, MD, to the late Ada F. (Turnbaugh) and Henry H. Whitcomb, Sr. He graduated from Harford County High School, then proudly served in the US Army, being honorably discharged in 1952. Henry went on to work for Black and Decker for 42 years until he retired. In his spare time, he used to enjoy going out, dancing, with his late wife, Ruby, watching NASCAR, the Baltimore Orioles and Baltimore Ravens games. He also enjoyed gardening, cutting his grass, and spending time with his family. Henry was a member of several organizations, which included the AMVETS, Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge, VFW, American Legion and the Eagles. He is survived by a step-son, Rodney Wildasin; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; two nieces and one nephew. Public visitation will be held on Thursday, July 1, from 10am until a funeral service begins at 11am, at Geiple-Predicce Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock. Interment will follow in Jefferson Cemetery.
