Harry W. Rehmeyer Glen Rock Harry W. “Snailey” Rehmeyer, 96, of Glen Rock, died Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at the Shrewsbury Lutheran Home. Mr. Rehmeyer was born on December 12, 1917 in Shrewsbury a son of the late Edward E. and Essie F. (Sutton) Rehmeyer. Harry retired in 1987 from Peach Bottom Atomic Power Plant where he was a Tool Room Foreman for twelve years. Prior to that, he worked construction for Noonan Construction and several other companies in the York area with the Labor Union #1167 for over 25 years. He had also operated the former Rehmeyer Produce in Hungerford (Shrewsbury) with his brother from 1950 to 1965 and was a self employed truck driver, hauling produce for Charles G. Summers Canning Company and delivered coal for many years. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Shrewsbury, the Hanover Moose Lodge, the Victory Club, York, and the Labor Union #1167. Harry is survived by a brother, Edward E. Rehmeyer of New Freedom, and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by ten siblings. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
