Guy A. Dunn

Guy Dunn, 59, passed away on December 28, 2020, in York, PA. He is survived by his wife, Catherine Dunn of York and five children. Guy Dunn was born on August 17, 1961 in Sacramento, CA. Guy attended Dale Senior High School in Dale, Oklahoma. He served in the U.S. Army and went on to have a career in law enforcement, serving the last 22 years as a Federal Police Officer at the Federal Reserve Bank in Baltimore, MD. Along the way he earned a Firefigheter/EMT certificate of which he was very proud. Guy married Catherine Dunn on May 23, 1997 in Catonsville, MD. The couple have a blended family of 6 children, Crystal Dunn Rhone ( Mike ), Michele Caughy (deceased), Michael Caughy (Crystal), Lacey Dunn, Cassie Dunn, and Daisy Ragan. He was also the proud grandfather of three granddaughters, Isabella (deceased), Nakiah, and Iris. Guy is also survived by nine siblings; Nesha Hill, Lisa Buchanan, Richard Dunn, Dwayne Dunn, James Dunn, Jo Cocheron, Toni Blisseck, Steven Haynes, and Cindy Hill. Guy was preceded in death by sisters Terri Wells and Officer Jackie Sue Cox. Guy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend. He took great pride in each member of his extended family and welcomed them whether or not they shared DNA. He was known at work for lighting up with room with his humor and character. Above all, Guy's faith was important to him and he lived it out in how he cared for other people. He was a member of Glenview Alliance Church in Glen Rock, PA. His family takes great comfort in knowing that Guy is with his Redeemer, but he will be deeply missed. A memorial service for Guy will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 12:00 noon at Glenview Alliance Church, 10037 Susquehanna Trail South, Glen Rock, PA. Visitation will be held at the church an hour before the service, beginning at 11:00.
