Gregory D. Reider

Gregory D. Reider, 69, of Railroad, died Thursday September 26, 2019 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Darlene A. (Bull) Reider, with whom he celebrated a 50th wedding anniversary on August 2, 2019. At his request there will be no services. The Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock is assisting with the arrangements. Greg was born in York on November 2, 1949 and was a son of the late Richard D. “Dick” Reider and Lenabelle “Lee” (Rudisill) Glatfelter. He was a 1967 graduate of Susquehannock High School, Glen Rock and retired from Johnson Controls in York, where he was a setup person in the Navy Department for over 46 years. He was a member of the McSherrystown Moose Lodge #270, McSherrystown, PA and a life member of the Sons of the American Legion, Austin L. Grove Post 403, Glen Rock. Greg also loved going to Topsail Beach in North Carolina. Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter. Mellissa Adams, granddaughters, Allison and Jessica, a great granddaughter, Cerenity and a stepsister, Kimberly Reider and two stepbrothers, Brad Reider and Steve Reider. He was predeceased by a sister, Andrea L. “Andy” Casagrande. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Community Care, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
