Gloria Link

On February 19, 2025, Gloria Constance Link, our “Queen Mum” passed away at the age of 98. She lived a life rooted in faith, devoted to Christ, and guided by the Holy Bible. She now rests peacefully in God’s love.

Gloria was a woman of unwavering belief, whose love for the Lord shone through every aspect of her life. She found joy in prayer, strength in scripture, and peace in the promises of eternal life. She shared her faith through kindness, compassion, and an unyielding trust in God’s plan.

She graduated in 1945 from William Penn High School and was an active member of the York Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Gloria enjoyed gardening, nature, singing, cooking, baking, crocheting, and spending time with family and friends. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was always up for adventure and mischief making.

As a mother, she raised her children in the ways of the Lord, teaching them to love, to serve, and to trust in Him always, and nurtured these teachings in her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Gloria is predeceased in death by her husband, Edward R. Link, and daughter Linda A. Pino.

She is survived by her children, Michael Link (Karen), Jane Mangano, Marcia Sponsler (Dale), Joyce Thoman (Dean), David Link and William Link, II, as well as 12 cherished grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. She is also remembered with love by a host of dear friends, and her church community. While we will miss her terribly, we find solace in the hope and assurance that we will one day be reunited in God’s eternal kingdom.

A celebration of her life will be held at the York Seventh Day Adventist Church on February 27, 2025, at 12:00 PM. The family will have a private viewing from 10:30 – 11:00AM, and Open Visitation will be from 11:00AM – 12:00PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Gloria Link to the York Seventh Day Adventist Church School, 2220 Roosevelt Avenue, York, PA 17408.
