Glenn D. Williams, 84, of York, who was formerly of Shrewsbury, died Monday, June 18, 2018, at SpiriTrust Lutheran on Sprenkle Drive York, Pa. He was the beloved husband of Ruby J. (Roseberry) Williams, with whom he celebrated 63 years of marriage on Jan. 15th. Following cremation, a memorial service to celebrate his life will be held 11 am on Friday, June 22, 2018, at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main Street, Glen Rock, with his Pastor Dave Brenneman officiating. Burial will follow in Trinity UCC Cemetery, Glen Rock. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 to 11 am Friday at the funeral home. Born in Glen Rock on May 18, 1934, he was a son of Darwin D. and Anna (Wareheim) Williams. His mother died when he was 4, and his dad then married his step mother Carrie Nace. Glenn graduated in 1952 from Susquehannock High School and retired in 1996 from Keystone Tool and Die in Jacobus and prior to that had worked at AMF Union Machinery Division in Glen Rock for over 25 years. Following his retirement, he worked as a delivery person for Brown’s Orchards & Farm Market in Loganville for over 10 years. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Glen Rock, where he served as an Elder and Deacon. He enjoyed traveling and loved spending time with his family. He also was a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather to his children, Kathy J. Rohrbaugh (Ronald) of Shrewsbury, Cris D. Williams (Linda) of Dover and Joan A. Shoff (Rob) of Dover, six grandchildren, Alana Amspacher, Brent Rohrbaugh, Dr. Michael Williams, Lisa Williams, Nicole Shoff and Lindsay Hoover, three great-grandchildren, Lilah, Sienna and Cora, a brother, Eugene Williams of Tulsa OK, and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters, Velma Bilbie, Grace Nagy, Leona Williams and one brother Merle Williams. Six step brothers and sisters, Ralph, Harold & Samuel Nace, Myrtle Lau, Anna Thomas and Jennie Warner. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to National MS Society, Pennsylvania Keystone Society, 2000 Linglestown Road, Suite 201, Harrisburg, PA 17110 or to American Cancer Society, 924 N.
