Gladys R. McWilliams Jacobus Gladys R. (Shive) McWilliams, 82, formerly of Jacobus, died Saturday, August 4, 2018, at Colonial Manor, York. She was the wife of the late Francis N. "Bud" McWilliams. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday August 7, 2018 at the Christ United Methodist Church, 200 N. Main Street, Jacobus, with Rev. Dr. Bryan Mann officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Mrs. McWilliams was born on August 16, 1935, in Jacobus, and was a daughter of the late Herbert Cletus and Florence A. (Butcher) Shive. She was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church, Jacobus, where she had been a part of the Busy Bee’s Sunday School. She enjoyed playing BINGO and making crafts. Gladys loved spending time and making memories with her family and will be remembered for her amazing pies, her warm and loving heart and gentle soul. She leaves three daughters, Glenda F. Gohn (Barry) of Havelock, N.C., Vickie J. Diehl of York, and Pamela L. Smith (Neil) of York; three sons, Jeff A. McWillams (Norma) of Windsor, Thomas E. McWilliams of Jacobus, and Jon D. McWilliams (Jennifer) of Jacobus; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a brother Glenn E. Shive ( Betty) of York. She was predeceased by a daughter, Sandra A. Beaverson (Michael) and a sister Geraldine Markle. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, 200 N. Main St., Jacobus, PA 17407-1008.
