On Sunday, February 11, 2024, George P. Wida, Jr., 90, of Glen Rock, passed away at WellSpan York Hospital. He was the loving husband to the late Shirley (Hammaker) Wida. George was born on January 29, 1934 in Rexmont, PA to the late Rose (Angelo) and George P. Wida, Sr.
He worked as a Deli Manager at Food Fair and as a Fork Lift Operator at PA & S Small Co. and Caterpillar in York.
He is survived by his children; Cathy Leas (Mark), Roxanne Fabie (Joe), Denise Wida and George Wida, III (Jamie). grandchildren; Michelle Ma, Matthew Leas, Nicole Baldwin, Bridget Markel, Ryan Leas, Jill Kanuck, Joseph Fabie, Jordyn Langhans and Aaron Wida, twelve great-grandchildren, siblings; Mary Louise Hoke, Francis Wida(Connie) and Rosaie Roth (Nick).
Fr. Mark Wilke will celebrate a Memorial Mass that will begin at 11am on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Freedom, PA.
