George F. Tracey

George F. Tracey Sr. Glen Rock George F. Tracey, Sr. 79, of Glen Rock, died Saturday June 21, 2014 at his home. He was the husband of Clara E. (Roach) Tracey, with whom he celebrated a 58th Wedding anniversary this past September 14th. Following cremation, a time of gathering for family and friends to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday June 29, 2014 at Gifford Pinchot State Park, Lewisberry. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. The Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock is assisting the family. George was born in Freeland, MD on November 17, 1934, a son of the late Elmer C. and Ida J. (Sutherland) Tracey. He was self employed and enjoyed fishing, playing cards and shooting pool. Besides his wife he also leaves six children, George F. Tracey Jr., Tammy J. Woodring, both of York, Terry E. Tracey of Shrewsbury, Jean M. Tracey of Strinestown, Patricia A. Wilson of Red Lion, and Louie A. Tracey of Hanover; 20 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; and a brother, Kenneth E. Tracy of York. He was predeceased by a son Paul D. Tracey and a brother Joseph A. Tracey.
