Fred Lynn Kunkle

September 20, 1939 — February 19, 2024

Fred Kunkle, 84 of Seven Valleys, passed away peacefully at

home on February 19, 2024. Fred was born September 20, 1939

in Mt. Wolf, York County to the late Steward and Florence

(Aughenbaugh) Kunkle.

He worked as a machine operator at Standard Register and

retired in 2002 after 37 years of service. Fred was an active

member of the Seven Valleys Fire Company, Firefighters

Association of York County, and the Viking Athletic Association.

He is survived by his wife Beverly (Matthews) to whom he was

married to for 44 years, sons Jeff (Kim), Rick (Chris), Mike

(Connie), daughter Christina (Jennifer), 5 grand children, and 1

great-grandchild.

He enjoyed spending time working in his vegetable garden, deer

hunting in the fall, and watching NASCAR races. In the spring and

summer he could be found fishing at local lakes and at the

Chesapeake Bay. One of his favorite fishing expeditions was

salmon fishing in Alaska. Fred also loved to spend his time at

Ocean City, Maryland with his family.

A celebration of life in honor of Fred will be held at Geiple-Predicce Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, PA. 17327 on Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers,

memorial contributions can be made to Hospice & Community Care, the E.E. Manny Murray Center, 4075 Old Harrisburg Pike, Mount Joy, PA. 17552 or Calvary Baptist Church,

2740 Roosevelt Ave, York PA 17408.
