Floyd L. Mummert Glen Rock Floyd L. Mummert, 73, of Glen Rock, died Tuesday June 24, 2014 at the York Hospital. He was the husband of Hazel A. (Nace) Mummert with whom he celebrated a 52nd wedding anniversary this past March 25th. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday June 30, 2014 at St. Peter’s Church, 1708 Seitzville Road, Seven Valleys, with his Pastors Kerry Gingerich and Thomas Beck, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A viewing will be held from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM Sunday June 29, 2014 at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock and from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Monday at the church. Floyd was born March 16, 1941 in Springfield Township, the son of the late Millard A. and Mellie S. (Miller) Mummert. He was self employed as a dairy farmer and farmed in the Codorus Township area for many years until his retirement in 2007. He was a member of St. Peter’s Church, a former church consistory member, and taught Sunday school. He loved playing softball on the church team in the local church league. Floyd also enjoyed trapping and hunting. Floyd leaves 3 daughters, Carolyn S. Mack and her husband Chris of Glen Rock, Beverly A. Grove and her husband Bill of Glen Rock, Karen E. Bentzel and her husband John of East Berlin; a son Kevin L. Mummert and his wife Allison of Glen Rock; 11 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and 3 brothers Richard C. Mummert of New Freedom, Dale L. Mummert of Glen Rock, and David A. Mummert of Glen Rock.
