Florence I. Darr

On February 27, 2022, Florence I. (Kreeger) Darr, 93, passed away at The Brethren Home at Cross Keys Village in New Oxford. She was the wife of the late Dallas L. Darr. Born on October 10, 1928 in North Codorus Township, she was the daughter of the late William E. and Sadie M. (Herman) Kreeger.
Florence was a seamstress for several local sewing companies, and was also a member of Salem Christian Church (formerly Salem UCC), in Jacobus.
She is survived by her children, Jeffrey L. Darr and wife Ruby, Todd D. Darr and wife Christine, and Tim W. Darr and wife Betty; six grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Dorothy Lentz, Delores Ness, Elaine Lefever, and Dean Kreeger. She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Jon Darr and wife Nancy; her parents; and four siblings, William A. Kreeger, Louise Thoman, Arlene Strickler and Janet Baker.
Public viewing will be held on Saturday, March 5, from 10AM until a funeral service begins at 11AM at Salem Christian Church, 24 Franklin St., Jacobus. Interment will follow in Salem Union Cemetery in Jacobus. Pastor Kevin Becker will officiate along with Nephew, Rev. Tom Darr.
