Ferne Eloise Warner

Ferne E. Warner (Brenneman), 84, passed away on September 20th, 2021, in York, PA. Ferne was born on November 12, 1936, in Glen Rock, PA, to John and Clara Brenneman, at their home in Springfield Township. She was the youngest and last surviving of 13 children. Ferne married her high school sweetheart, Dean. They were married on September 26, 1953, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Manchester, MD. The couple had 2 children, Rick Warner of Spring Grove and Sharon Warner-Smith, of Glen Rock. Ferne enjoyed her family, traveling, and her beloved Tinkerbell. Ferne is survived by her loving husband Dean Warner; Son, Rick Warner and wife Pam; Daughter Sharon Warner-Smith and husband David; Grandchildren: Stephanie Venus (John), Brett Warner, Samantha Zahm (Dustin), Dylan Smith (Morgan), Ryan Smith (Fiancée, Samantha Flaharty). Great-Grandchildren: Gabriel, Luke, and Cole Venus; Haley and Blake Zahm; Sister in-laws: Elsie Brenneman and Joann Brenneman. Ferne is preceded in death by 8 brothers (Melvin, Fred, John Jr., Ernie, Paul, Dale, Wayne, Perry) and 4 sisters (Romaine Sellers, Melba Dise, Pearl Glatfelter, Mae Frantz) Funeral services will be held on Monday September 27th, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Friedensaal Lutheran Church with Reverend Doug DeStefano officiating. Viewing will be held from 10-11:00 AM at the church. Interment will be at Friedensaal Church Cemetery. There will be a gathering in the Hall of Hope following the burial. Friedensaal Church is located at 9138 White Church Road, Seven Valleys, PA 17360. Memorial donations can be made in Ferne's name to York County SPCA, 3159 North Susquehanna Trail, York, PA 17406 or Friedensaal Lutheran Church. Due to Covid, we are requiring guests wear masks while inside the church.
