Esther N. Mercado York Esther N. (Reimold) Mercado, 70, died Friday January 15, 2016 at Manor Care North. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock, with Rev. Nathan L. Shaffer of Shiloh God's Missionary Church, officiating. Viewings will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday and from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Pleasant View Church Cemetery, Red Lion. Esther was born on March 8, 1945 and was a daughter of the late Paul C. and Lillian V. (Bahn) Reimold. She was self employed as a caregiver and did house cleaning for many years. Prior to that she had worked at the former Charles G. Summers Canning Company in New Freedom. She leaves a son, Ivan Mercado and his wife Melinda of York; a granddaughter, Savanna Mercado; two sisters, Mary L. Pifer of New Oxford and Leah V. Sterner of Hanover; and two brothers, Paul C. Reimold Jr of York and Samuel C. Reimold of Stewartstown.
