Ervin C. Grove

Ervin C. Grove Glen Rock Ervin C. Grove, 94, of Glen Rock who was formerly of Red Lion, died Tuesday December 24, 2013, at Rest Haven Nursing Home, York. He was the husband of Doris A. (Dubbs) Grove, with whom he celebrated a 41st wedding anniversary this past March 19. He was also the husband of the late Arlene C. (Grimm) Grove. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 28, 2013 at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock with Rev. John L. Trout officiating. Burial will be in Trinity United Church of Christ Cemetery, Glen Rock. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home. Ervin was born on January 1, 1919 in Red Lion. He was the son of the late Cornelius and Sarah (Grove) Grove. He was a heavy machinery operator, retiring from Kinsley Construction following 10 years of employment and prior to that he had worked for James Favino Construction, Red Lion. Besides his wife, he leaves behind four daughters, Rosalie M. Deveney and her husband Irvin of York, Kimberly A. McCourry and her husband Shawn of Hanover, Cindy A. Logan and her husband Ric, and Karen S. Kemp all of Hartford City, Indiana; two sons, Robert E. Grove and his wife Rhonda of York and Richard Sotdorus of Glen Rock; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sons, Ricky, Terry, and Donald Grove; and a grandson, Trent A. Grove. Ervin is the last of eleven siblings. The family has requested in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice.
