Ernestine E. Gemmill

Ernestine E. Gemmill York Ernestine E. (Alloway) Gemmill, 101, died December 29, 2018 at Pleasant Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, York. She was the wife of the late Ralph C. Gemmill. Mrs. Gemmill was born on January 16, 1917 in York, a daughter of the late Richard Marvin and Edna F. (Shorts) Alloway. Formerly of Glen Rock and Port St. Lucie FL., she resided at the home for the past six years. She leaves two daughters, Brenda D. Kapp of York and Susan J. Wagner of Seven Valleys, a son, Rendall B. Gemmill of Glen Rock, seven grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren and a sister, Yola J. Ludwig of York. She was predeceased by a daughter, Drena Herbert, a son Bryan L. Gemmill, two granddaughters and two sisters and a brother. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock with Chaplin Rev. Sue Oelrich officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery, York. Viewings will be held from 7 to 9 PM Wednesday and from noon to 1 PM Thursday at the Funeral Home.
