On Monday, September 9, 2024, Erma J. (Nace) Keiser, 87, of Glenville, passed away at UPMC Hanover Hospital. She was the devoted wife of the late Earl C. Keiser for 53 years before his passing in 2008. She was born on October 5, 1936 in North Codorus Township to the late John A. and Charlotte P. (Rishel) Nace.
Erma delivered papers for the Hanover Merchandiser Newspaper for 23 years before she retired. She was a member of the former St. Jacob's (Stone) Union Church (now St. Jacob's (Stone) United Church of Christ); and was a Den Leader for Cub Scout Troop #48. In her spare time, she enjoyed various activities with her family, whether it was going to the mountains, or going on other vacations.
She is survived by two sons, Earl E. and Michael D. Keiser; three daughters, Beverly A. and Leanna J. Keiser, and Cindy L. Knox; three brothers, Ralph, John and Raymond Nace; three sisters, Ruthanna Stremmel, Florence Myers and Verna Bankert; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; and nine siblings: Harry Nace, Thelma Gordon, Helen Sharp, Edith Brenneman, Melvin Nace, Charles Nace, Edward Nace, and twin infant sisters.
Public viewing will be held on Saturday, September 14, from 10:00 am until a funeral service begins at 11:00 am at St. Jacob's (Stone) United Church of Christ, 5152 Stone Church Road, Glenville, PA 17329. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations are recommended to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
