Erica Lynn Denenberg

December 1, 1960 — December 19, 2022

On December 19, Erica Lynn Denenberg, devoted sister, aunt, cousin, niece, and friend, passed away after a harrowing battle with Ovarian Cancer. She was 62 years young. Predeceased by her loving parents, Marvin and Marlene (Barron) Denenberg, Erica was born in Philadelphia and raised in York, where she built a beautiful life filled with family and lifelong friends. She attended Penn State University and Consolidated School of Business. Following graduation she worked as an Admissions Coordinator at CSB and later worked as a Benefits Specialist in the insurance industry.

Erica was a world traveler and dog lover, and she also enjoyed camping and music festivals. Her smile lit up a room and her laughter was infectious. She cared deeply about conservation, food insecurity and social justice. She played a central role in her family's lives, served as a Brownie leader, and especially loved organizing overnights and day trips for the young ones. She was a true matriarch, putting the needs of her family above all else, including her mother's end of life care.

Erica was best known for her generosity, quick-witted humor, fearlessness, and strength. She is survived by her large and loving family, including her siblings, Phil (Corinne), Andy, Jeff (Sherry), and Debbie, as well as her niece Christy (Brandon) Reece and their children-Kalie, Michael, Matthew, and Logan, nephew Joshua (Nikki) and his children-Addison, Wyatt, Emma, and Asher, nephew Nate, and extended family in the Philly area, Lehigh Valley, Boston, Seattle, and Israel.
