On Sunday, May 2, 2021, Emory E. Becker, 84, passed away at his home in Spring Grove. He was the loving partner of the late Lee E. Leatherman. Emory was born on April 22, 1937 in York, to the late Philip and Annie Mary (Hetrick) Becker Bollinger. He served his country in the US Army, then worked for P.H. Glatfelter's in Spring Grove before owning and operating his own dry cleaning business in Chambersburg. In his spare time, he cherished his time taking care of his late canine companion, Casey; and loved everything about John Deere tractors, flowers, hummingbirds, and horses. Emory leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceding him in death are his parents; his partner; and five siblings. A public viewing will be held on Friday, May 7, 2021, from 10am until a funeral service begins at 12pm at Geiple-Predicce Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock. Interment will follow in Jefferson Cemetery. Pastor Bradley Dayett will officiate. Face masks and social distancing are required while inside the funeral home.
