Ellis Burnell Myers

On Sunday, May 15, 2022, Ellis B. Myers, 76, of Glen Rock, passed away at his home. Ellis was the husband of Darlene M. (Shearer) Myers with whom he celebrated 54 years of marriage on March 30, 2022. He was born on April 16, 1946 in York, a son of the late Edward D.M. and Ada M. (Raver) Myers. He was employed as a barber for over 56 years, most recently with Bella Dzyns in York. He was a member of Black Rock Church of the Brethren, Glenville and the Jefferson Sportsman’s Association and the York Rifle Association. He loved the outdoors and was a proud hunter and enjoyed fishing, metal detecting and cutting wood. Ellis was a collector of Harley Davidson Shirts and enjoyed traveling, rock and roll music, watching western shows and movies, going to car shows, auctions and church suppers. Besides his wife he leaves two daughters, Angela Gwinn (Eric) and Michelle Schaeffer (Dean), three grandchildren, Justin, Ashlee and Alex two great grandchildren, a sister Kathy Jacoby (Dave) and a brother Stevie “Fuzzy” Myers (Brenda, and a nephew David Myers. Viewings will be held from 6 :00 to 8:00 PM Friday May 20, 2022 at the Geiple-Predicce Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock and from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Saturday May 21, 2022 at Black Rock Church of the Brethren, 3864 Glenville Road, Glenville, PA 17329, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
