Eileen A. (Bechtel) Nafe – “Peep” On Friday February 4, 2022, Eileen A (Bechtel) Nafe, 74 of Glenville passed into eternal life at her daughters’ residence with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late James C. Hess whom she had shared 17 years of marriage from 1978 to 1996 and also the wife of the late Randy L. Nafe whom she had shared 15 years of marriage from 2006 to 2022. Eileen was born on February 13, 1947 in Hanover to the late Thelma I (Bechtel) Shower and the late Sterling H. Boehler. She attended South Western High School. She worked at AMP for a short time. She was a homemaker, taking care of her family her entire life. Eileen enjoyed reading the bible (her Savior JESUS was first and foremost in her life, her heart shined for JESUS and she lit up a room where ever she went), fellowshipping with people where ever she would go, even people she did not know, canning, cooking, baking, crocheting, being outdoors, gardening (she knew her flowers and plants), loved nature, putting puzzles together, playing family games, coloring, doing inspirational word searches, camping, going to steam engine shows and loved spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by 4 daughters, Pam Lindsay and husband Stephen, Tina Mann and husband Larry Sr., Jamie Cook and husband Matthew and Bobbie Hess. 3 step sons, Kenneth Hess, Steven Hess and Mark Nafe. 3 step daughters, Diane Magness, Patricia Jared and husband Anthony, Connie Knox and husband Shawn. 2 Honorary daughters, Janice Dupler and Jenne Predmore. 7 grandchildren, Larry Mann Jr and companion Cristy, Amber Gemmill and husband Keith, James Cook, Emily Cook and companion Austin Simonds, Austin Klemm, Casey Klemm and Hannah Klemm. She was preceded in death by 1 grandchild, Kristina Cook. 4 great grandchildren, Landon Wolfkill, Brian Gemmill, Ava Simonds and Krista Simonds. Numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. 2 brothers, Randy L. Bechtel and Gilbert P. Utz. 1 sister, Shirley Pierce. She was preceded in death by a sister Mildred Mullinix. A public viewing will be held on Friday, February 11th from 12 pm until a funeral service begins at 2 pm at Geiple-Predicce Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock. Interment will follow in St. Jacobs (Stone) Church Cemetery. Rev. Andy Carr will officiate.
