Earle F. “Foxy” Lehman Jacobus Earle F. “Foxy” Lehman, 90, of Jacobus, died on Monday April 15, 2013 at his home. He was the husband of Jennie M. (Stanton) Dittenhafer Lehman and the late Rhelda M. (Frey) Lehman. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, April 19, 2013 at Christ United Methodist Church, 200 North Main Street, Jacobus, with his pastor the Rev. Randy S. Hughes, officiating. Burial will be in Christ United Methodist Church Cemetery, Jacobus with military rites by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Viewings will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Thursday and from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Friday at the Church. Earle was born on February 25, 1923 in Jacobus, a son of the late Jacob F. and Lestella M. (Heindel) Lehman. He graduated in 1940 from York High and served in the United States Army during World War II. He was the owner of Earle F. Lehman, Builder in Jacobus which he operated for over 54 years, and prior to that he worked with Edwin Myers, for several years. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church where he played in Sunday School Orchestra and sang on the church choir. He was a life long member of Jacobus Fire Company and was a former Assistant Fire Chief. Foxy played trombone and was a member of the Emigsville Band, Southern York County Band and the Potosi Band. He was also a past member of the Glen Rock Carolers Association; with whom he the trombone for 23 years. Besides his wife, he also leaves a daughter, Linda S. Wright and her husband, David of Seven Valleys; a son, Edward F. Lehman and his wife, Linda of Seven Valleys, a step daughter, Carol A. Heltzel of Codorus; a step son Edmund G. Dittenhafer of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; five grandchildren, five step grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and seven step great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister Gladys Kaplan and a half sister, Myrtle Emenheiser. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, 200 N. Main Street, Jacobus, PA 17407. The Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock is in charge of the arrangements.
