Dorothy M. Mckinsey

Dorothy M. (Townsley) McKinsey, 89, of the Brethren Home Community at Cross Keys, New Oxford, who was formerly of Loganville, died March 8, 2017 at the home. She was the wife of the late Joseph E. McKinsey. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, March 13, 2017 at Codorus Church of the Brethren, 1129 Dunkard Valley Road, Dallastown, with pastors, Rick Fischl and Bed Godfrey, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Monday at the church. The Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., Glen Rock, is handling the arrangements. Mrs. McKinsey was born in on October 4, 1927, in Hallam Township, a daughter of the late Charles E. and Susan D. (Keeney) Townsley. She was a member of the Codorus Church of the Brethren where she was the Custodian of the church for over 38 years. She had lived at the Brethren Home since October 2010. She is survived by two daughters, Susan J. Bauer of New Paris Ind.; Joanne M. Lawrence of York, two grandchildren and three step grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.
