Dorothy L. Grote Hanover Dorothy L. (Rohrbaugh) Grote, 93, of Hanover, who was formerly of the Glenville area, died Saturday February 8, 2014 at Hanover Hall Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late George A. Grote. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main Street, Glen Rock, with Rev. Ethan Levengood, and Rev. Jerry Beers, officiating. Burial will be at Jefferson Cemetery, Codorus. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Grote was born on July 4, 1920 in Codorus Township, a daughter of the late Edward W. and Anna R. (Kaltreider) Rohrbaugh. She was a member of the Hanover Wesleyan Church, where she was a member of the Women’s Missionary Society, served as a Nursery Mother, was the coordinator for sending flowers to members and did the church bulletins for many years. She is survived by two sons, Robert E. Grote and his wife Charry of Hanover and Dean L. Grote and his wife Jean of Hanover, four grandchildren, Robin Grote and wife Cathy of Duxbury, MA, Galen Grote of Newberryport MA, Diane Harris and husband George of Hanover and Carol Grote and Josh Arentz of Hanover; 7 great grandchildren, Matthew, George, Autumn, Amanda, Cassidy, Allie and Zachariah, and three great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a grandson George C. Grote and was the last of 10 Siblings. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hanover Wesleyan Church, Building Fund, 701 Black Rock Road, Hanover, PA 17331.
