Doris E. Godfrey

Doris E. Godfrey Seven Valleys Doris E, (keeny) Godfrey, 84, of the SpiriTrust Lutheran Home, Shrewsbury, who was formerly of Seven Valleys, died Wednesday April 8, 2015 at the home. She was the wife of the late Marvin R. Godfrey. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Sunday April 12, 2015 at Codorus Church of the Brethren, 1129 Dunkard Valley Road, (Route 214) Dallastown, with Pastor Rick Fischl officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A viewing will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 PM Sunday at the church. The Geiple Funeral Home, Inc. 53 Main Street, Glen Rock is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Godfrey was born in Winterstown, a daughter of the late George and Pauline (Godfrey) Keeny. She had worked as a seamstress at several local sewing companies in York County and volunteered for many years at the information desk at York Hospital for many years. She was a member of the Codorus Church of The Brethren. Doris leaves a daughter, Shirley M. Shaw and her husband Marvin of Seven Valleys, a grandson, Richard M. Shaw and his wife Kim, great grandchildren, Marlee Shaw and Dakota Baley. She was predeceased by a brother Dean Keeny and a sister June Harvey.
