Doreen E.M Gantz

Doreen E.M. Gantz New Freedom Doreen E.M. (Jones) Gantz, 90, of Springfield Township, died Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at her home. She was the wife of James R.A. Gantz, with whom she celebrated a 71st wedding anniversary on October 3rd. Funeral Services and burial will be private. The Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, is assisting with the arrangements. Mrs. Gantz was born in Kidderminster, England on September 17, 1926 and was a daughter of the late Herbert E. "Bert" and May E. (Potter) Jones. She met her husband in England, while he was serving in the Army during WWII and they were married there. She came to America on Easter Sunday, April 21, 1946 and was very proud of becoming a U.S. Citizen. She retired from AMP, Inc., where she was a Press Machine Operator and was employed at several local AMP plants, retiring from AMP Plastics Division, following over 35 years of employment. She leaves a daughter, Sandra A. Urban and her husband Joseph of Lancaster, VA; two sons, Ray A. Gantz and his wife Donna of Jacobus and John K. Gantz and his wife Berit of New Freedom; four grandchildren, Christopher N. Gantz and wife Jennifer, Laura E. Hagan and husband Brian, James R.A. Gantz and Elizabeth M. Witman and husband Matt; seven great-grandchildren, Alexander, Jacob and Matthew Witman, Elijah Gantz, Ben, Naomi and Ethan Hagan. She was predeceased by two grandsons, Matthew and Jonathan Gantz.
